At Nottingham High School we have a well-deserved national reputation both for our academic achievements and for the high standards achieved in the wide range of activities we offer. We are proud of our tradition, but at the same time have a strong sense of purpose for the future. After more than 500 years of educating boys, we are now fully co-educational after welcoming our first intake of girls in 2015.
Nottingham High School has also recently been named the number one performing independent school in the East Midlands according to the annual Sunday Times Parent Power rankings. Our Infant & Junior School is ranked 8th nationally in the same survey. We achieved an exceptional A*-B A-Level percentage of 89.6 and a GCSE A*-A percentage of 72.9 to sit top of the independent secondary schools in the East Midlands.
The first stage of the entrance procedure is to complete our online enquiry form to register for our Open Days or Taster Days, request a tour or to request a prospectus pack which will contain a registration form for the assessments that take place at the start of each calendar year.
The main point of entry to the Infant & Junior School are Reception and Year 3, occasionally we also have places in other year groups. For the Senior School the main points of entry are Year 7, and the Sixth Form and again we also have places become available at other ages.
I very much hope that I will have the pleasure of welcoming you and your family, personally, to the School so that I can show you how we turn your aims into a reality. You will also meet some of our existing pupils and will see how your ambitions for your child can be achieved in partnership with us.
I very much look forward to meeting you.
